Hammerson is pleased to announce that it has significantly strengthened Cabot Circus's dining offer, having secured five new restaurateurs, the majority of which will be making their debut in the city, and in one case, the UK.

Set to open its first British restaurant, L'Osteria the Austrian based pasta pizza concept with several successful stores in Austria and Germany has taken a 624 m2 unit, located in Quakers Friars. French brassiere, Côte with its relaxed all-day dining and serving authentic French classics will also be opening in Quakers Friars alongside Carluccio's, having signed up to take a 278 m2 restaurant.

Quakers Friars is a piazza situated within the grounds of Cabot Circus set against the historic backdrop of a 13th century Dominican Friary building. With Raymond's Blanc's, Brassiere Blanc in the Friary Building and global retailers Hugo Boss and Michael Kors opening flagship stores, Quakers Friars spearheads the centre's aspirational shopping experience and with its new line of restaurateurs will also become the focal point for the centre's more formal dining offer.

Handmade Burger, serving freshly made burgers, is set to make its debut in Bristol with a 510 m2 unit next to Pizza Express on the centre's first level. Similarly, authentic Brazilian style restaurant, Casa Brasil which offers a Brazilian rodizio experience will be making its all-important debut in the South West when it launches its 300 m2 restaurant, also situated on the first level.

Itsu, the popular British Asian-inspired restaurant, will also be debuting in the city, with a new 311 m2 unit that will be located on Broadmead, an integral part of Bristol's retail quarter.

Sarah Fox, Head of Restaurants and Leisure at Hammerson commented: 'Welcoming these five new restaurants to Cabot Circus and to Bristol is testament to the vibrant and modern destination we have successfully created for the city. Providing the perfect backdrop, Quakers Friars has become a hub for premium global brands, both dining and retail, within the centre and we look forward to each restaurant opening so that our customers can make the most of these new and exciting brands which continue to help keep Cabot Circus at the heart of the region's retail, dining and leisure offer.'

Pru Naik at L'Osteria commented: 'I'm excited to be opening the UK's first L'Osteria and to be bringing this hugely popular restaurant brand to Bristol to begin our national roll out. We chose Bristol to be the home of the very first UK L'Osteria as it has such a vibrant social scene and because the city is used to embracing new dining concepts. Hammerson is a good fit for L'Osteria, with its portfolio of leading shopping centres and track record of working with independent and start-up brands. The L'Osteria team really can't wait to get set up and open the doors in Bristol!'

Christopher Sargeant, Founder and Owner of Handmade Burger, added: 'We are really excited to be opening in such a great location such as Bristol. Our success is driven by a passion for fresh, natural and handmade food as well as genuine hospitality. We have had many requests from customers to come to Bristol and we are looking forward to bringing over 40 different handmade burgers, made from scratch in the restaurant every single day to Bristol's Cabot Circus!'

Cabot Circus is jointly owned and operated by Hammerson on behalf of the Bristol Alliance.
