Hammerson announces that the final unit at Fife Central retail park in Kirkcaldy, Scotland has been let, meaning that the £10 million redevelopment will be 100% let on opening, bringing over 100 new jobs to the area.

The final unit will be taken by Oak Furniture Land, the UK's largest retailer of hardwood furniture. The retailer will take a 930 sq m unit, marking its first store in Fife.

Oak Furniture Land will join leading retail brands including Sofology, Wren Kitchens and DW Sports, all of which also marked firsts for their brands in Fife and are due to open this summer.

The signing marks the completion of the 8,000 sq m redevelopment, which replaced a vacant Homebase unit with new contemporary fully glazed retail units. As Fife's largest retail park, the new stores will be well placed to benefit from trading alongside a diverse range of brands such as Sainsbury's, Next, M&S Simply Food, B&Q, Toys 'R' Us and Boots.

The newly redeveloped park will bring economic growth to Fife and provide a boost to local employment in the area.

Andrew Berger-North, Director of UK Retail Parks said, 'We are delighted to have fully let the park and to have brought another important first for Fife with Oak Furniture Land. The park now boasts a dynamic tenant line-up to complement Kirkcaldy town centre, providing shoppers with a range of homeware, furniture and retail brands, as well as making a significant contribution to the local economy and jobs market.'
