Hawaiian : Airlines Appoints Mark Arimoto to Director – A321 Integration

HONOLULU - Hawaiian Airlines today has announced the appointment of Mark Arimoto to Director - A321 Integration. In this new role, Arimoto is responsible for coordinating and managing the integration of Hawaiian's new fleet of fuel-efficient A321NEO long-range aircraft within set FAA deadlines, while adhering to cost objectives. Additionally, he will coordinate efforts between Commercial, Training, Airport Customer Service, Inflight and other key departments to develop, train and implement operating service standards.

"Bringing an entirely new fleet of aircraft into service is a complex assignment," said Sean Menke, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Hawaiian Airlines. "Mark's vast knowledge of domestic and international legal procedures and government regulations makes him the ideal candidate to lead this project as we embark on this pivotal milestone."

Arimoto joined Hawaiian Airlines as its first Assistant General Counsel in 2007. He went on to serve as Associate General Counsel until 2014, at which point he was named Deputy General Counsel. He oversaw many of the day-to-day activities of the company's Legal Department in both roles. Prior to this, he worked for a large international law firm where he was based in Boston and Los Angeles.

Arimoto graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA and earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. He is a member of the Hawai'i, California and Massachusetts bars and currently serves as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for the Hawai'i Cord Blood Bank. Arimoto was also recently named to Pacific Business News' exclusive Forty Under 40 Class of 2015 for his impact on Hawai'i's economy and community.
