DUBUQUE, Iowa, Aug. 16, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Heartland Financial USA, Inc. (NASDAQ:HTLF) has named Steve Braden Executive Vice President, Head of Retail. He succeeds Lynn H. Fuller, who was named Market President/Executive Vice President for Dubuque Bank and Trust, a subsidiary of Heartland.

In this role Braden has responsibility for retail, small business and consumer banking goals and strategies across Heartland’s member banks.  In fulfilling those responsibilities, Braden oversees retail banking at the corporate level including the call center and product development, working closely with member bank leadership.

Prior to joining Heartland, Braden was Executive Director for Community Banking and Senior Consultant for Strategic Direction for Ningbo Donghai Bank in Zhejiang Province, Ningbo, China, where he was responsible for developing and overseeing the bank’s new community bank division.

Braden previously served as Executive Vice President, Regional Executive of Umpqua Bank in Portland, Oregon. He also held senior management positions at US Bank and First Bank System.

Braden has been actively involved in the communities in which he has lived throughout his career, including in Oregon, where he served on the boards of Providence Hospital Foundation, Hearts & Vines, Craterian Theater at the Collier Center for Performing Arts, and La Clinica del Valle. He also was active in the Chamber of Medford/Jackson County and Medford Rotary.
