Horizon North Logistics : Moose Haven Lodge – Workforce Accommodations

Working in remote areas, away from family and friends, can be difficult and stressful. In all of our open camps and the client-owned camps where we operate, Horizon North is committed to an exceptional experience in workforce accommodations, striving to provide our guests with a true 'home away from home'.

In January 2018, Horizon North announced the acquisition of Moose Haven Lodge as a key element in a new partnership with Janvier Aboriginal Industrial Services Corp., a wholly owned entity of the Chipewyan Prairie Dene First Nation. The lodge is now one of 11 Horizon North open camps serving remote workers in Alberta's oilsands region and the Montney/Duvernay region of northeastern British Columbia and northwestern Alberta.

Services

A 288-bed lodge, Moose Haven is located near the hamlet of Janvier, Alberta between Conklin and Fort McMurray, Alberta. It provides accommodations near the busy Highway 881 corridor for companies and supports primarily the Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) industry in the area. The facility showcases several of the operational services that Horizon North provides throughout our open camps and in client-owned facilities, including camp management, catering, housekeeping, security and maintenance.

All accommodations at Moose Haven Lodge are designed to provide ample comfort for guests after a long day of work. Each room is a standard single room with air-conditioning and heat, as well as a private attached washroom to refresh. Several additional services and amenities are available for guest use, including free WIFI, satellite TV and powered parking, access to laundry and fitness facilities, and an executive dining facility. Front desk staff are available 24 hours a day to assist guests with any questions or concerns.

The dining facility provides fresh cooked meals and baking, with menu selections guided by our team of Red Seal certified chefs. At Moose Haven Lodge, as with any Horizon North camp, our culinary team takes great pride in providing dynamic menu selections and healthy, nutritious meals that help our guests recharge.
