Hosiden has developed a reverse sound hole type Analog MEMS Microphone Unit which is approximately 75% smaller than conventional units.
In addition to miniaturization, the incorporation of a Programmable ASIC has improved the sensitivity tolerance from ±3dB to ±1dB while at the same time achieving higher performance by improving the signal-to-noise ratio from 62dB (typ.) to 65dB (typ.).
Hosiden will further expand sales in the markets of smartphones, digital cameras, and other information communications equipment for which demand will increase in the near future, as well as in the automotive components market.
