IMPRESA, SGPS, S.A. SIC signed an agreement with ZAP in order to broadcast SIC Internacional in Angola and Mozambique. The IMPRESA channel has arrived in July, on the position 12 of ZAP distribution platform. With this move, SIC will broadcast all of the SIC universe channels in both territories.
"This new partnership represent another step towards globalization of SIC channels and the internationalization of Grupo IMPRESA, representing a high growth potential subscribers of SIC Internacional" said Francisco Pedro Balsemão, CEO do Grupo IMPRESA.
A SIC Internacional is also present in Angola, Mozambique, South Africa, USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Switzerland, Andorra, Belgium and Luxembourg, through 25 operators on five continents, reaching currently about 10 million viewers around the world.
SIC now sells six channels to the international market: SIC Internacional, SIC Notícias, SIC Mulher, SIC K, SIC Caras and SIC Radical, and has become the Portuguese company that broadcasts the most channels abroad.
