ISS UK and Ireland today published its 2016 CR Report and formally launched its new CR strategy - ThinkForward@ISS

It is a simpler and clearer CR approach for the business that will support ISS' ambition to become the world's greatest service organisation.

ThinkForward@ISS is anchored in the ISS mission statement 'Service performance facilitating our customers' purpose through people empowerment' and the Executive Board is personally sponsoring the different pillars that form part of it.

Sustainable service performance represents ISS' commitment to make efficient and responsible use of natural resources. ISS now has clear ambitions to manage its carbon and waste impacts and move towards sustainable procurement. A highlight in 2016 was the move to Velocity - the new ISS UK head office in Weybridge. Certified as a BREEAM 'Excellent' Building, Velocity has cutting edge features such as rainwater harvesting and reverse-vending machines for plastic bottles and cans.

ISS' stated aim is to enhance their customers' purpose by inspiring them to reimagine their workplaces and explore areas where they can work collaboratively with ISS on CR topics. ISS now has clear ambitions around community engagement; safety, health and wellbeing; and technology. ISS' current partnership with The Prince's Trust has enabled them to jointly organise with their clients several volunteering events to support the employability skills of young people.

People empowerment represents the ISS commitment to identify, develop and retain the best talent. ISS now has clear ambitions on employability; diversity and inclusion; and learning and development. ISS is proud to be a new member of the Employers' Network for Equality and Inclusion (ENEI) and is working closely with them to develop its approach to diversity and inclusion.

The 2016 CR Report sets out the recent achievements and future plans being developed by ISS to deliver on ThinkForward@ISS and its new CR ambitions. The report is available to download on the ISS UK website: uk.issworld.com/cr/reports

Matthew Brabin, Chief Executive Officer - ISS UK and Ireland, commented: 'ThinkForward@ISS represents an exciting new direction for CR within ISS. We felt 2016 was the right time to look at what really matters for our employees, customers, suppliers and wider stakeholders. It is a clearer and simpler CR approach for our business that we want everyone within ISS to feel part of and rally behind. We've called it ThinkForward@ISS to highlight that we are taking innovative approaches to addressing some of the megatrends facing society. Over the next 12 months, you will see us advancing on the CR ambitions that form part of ThinkForward@ISS, driven by our vision to become the world's greatest service organisation.'

Stephanie Hamilton, People and Culture Director - ISS UK and Ireland, added: 'As our People and Culture policy states, at ISS we work hard to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees; based on the ISS Values and Leadership Principles - looking after both the physical and mental wellbeing of every ISS employee. Put simply, ensuring our people return safe and happy to their family at the end of each working day. I am delighted that our CR report highlights the work that we are undertaking to support our employees in delivering our key objectives, whilst also showcasing the many fantastic initiatives our own employees undertake to ensure that we have a positive impact on the communities and environments that we draw our resources from. I am proud of this report and look forward to seeing how our positive impact continues through our ThinkForward@ISS strategy for the future.'
