In Stuttgart, Jenoptik will be presenting several industrial metrology innovations, showing the latest trends in quality assurance. Visit us at the Control from May 9-12, 2017 in hall 3, stand 3501.

For the first time, we will be presenting a new generation of devices for roughness and contour measurement, new additions to optical shaft metrology and an innovative system for optical 3D surface inspection. In addition, Jenoptik will be presenting its USB 3.0 microscope cameras for use in quality control applications.

Waveline W800 and Waveline W900 for Roughness and Contour Metrology

The new generation of Waveline W800 and Waveline W900 roughness and contour measuring devices were designed to meet a variety of customer requirements for more flexible, more precise and faster measuring processes. All measuring station configurations are modular and can easily be expanded at a later stage. The W800 and W900 model series cover different performance requirements and offer a suitable probing system for every field of application.

An additional feature is the ease at which these probing systems can be swapped via a new quick-change adapter. This lends a very high degree of flexibility to daily routine measurements. The W800 model series is particularly suited to many different measuring tasks in the measuring room, as the models typically include manual or semi-automated measuring processes. Jenoptik offers the W900 performance model series for users with high performance requirements in the fields of automation, measuring cycle times and measuring accuracy.

Opticline CS155 and Opticline CS305 Supplement the Range of Optical Shaft Measuring Devices

The devices from the new CS series are rigorously designed for production-related applications and are optimized to meet special requirements relating to the production and quality assurance of rotating parts. Customers in this sector of the industry need fast and flexible gauging components for fully automated use in the production environment. The two newcomers, the CS155 and CS305, perfect the range of Jenoptik optical shaft measuring machines that has been established on the market for many years.

'With the CS series, we are offering a high-quality measuring instrument for customers with medium tolerance requirements', explains Roland Riechert, Deputy Head of the operational Jenoptik Automotive Division. The two products also enable operator-controlled inspections in line with the proven quality that is associated with Jenoptik.

The Opticline CS155 and Opticline CS305 provide many of the functions that improve operator usability when carrying out quality assurance; for example, automatic software-based measuring processes and several mechanisms for device self-monitoring. The new Tolaris Optic measuring and analysis software is included in delivery. This innovative software allows for simple programming with a graphic user interface and intuitive measuring and analysis functions that are focused on measuring tasks.

Robust Flaw Detection thanks to 3D Technology: The New Gageline IPS F100 3D and Gageline IPS F200 3D Planar Surface Inspection Systems

Jenoptik has developed the Gageline IPS F100 3D and Gageline IPS F200 3D plane face inspection systems specifically for use in the automotive industry. Thanks to innovative camera and lighting technology, adaptive and dynamic masking, and high resolution, the systems reliably perform complete testing of plane faces within the line cycle time.

The 3D inspection system inspects surfaces on engine blocks, cylinder heads and valve plates in automatic gearboxes for defects that could affect the function and stability of the component. Thanks to the innovative multi-image capturing function, not only is the system able to distinguish between true defects and dry edges from the upstream washing process, it can also receive information about elevation data. There are practically no limits to the area for inspection in terms of width and length. The new Gageline solutions deliver reproducible results within short test cycles and inspect both matte and smooth surfaces. Faster and more reliable than a visual inspection, the system is designed to carry out optical inspections within the automotive industry. The system can be integrated into a fully-automated production process as part of a complete solution in combination with optical bore inspection systems, which can be used for the complete inspection of crankcases, for example.

Multifaceted Insights into the Micro-Universe

With the help of various software drivers, Jenoptik Healthcare & Industry is expanding the operational capability of its PROGRES GRYPHAX® microscope camera product range in the fields of quality and material control as well as life science. This means that, in addition to the proven color reproduction and image quality of Jenoptik cameras, users can now rely on increased flexibility and system compatibility in relation to the individual solution for their micro and macroscopic tasks.

Since fall 2016, Jenoptik has been setting new standards in microscopy thanks to its complete PROGRES GRYPHAX® series USB 3.0 camera portfolio, and the Jena-based group will be showcasing the performance capability of this portfolio at this year's Control trade fair in Stuttgart. The six innovative cameras and user-friendly microscope camera software transform each microscope into a modern digital workstation, thus enabling high-resolution insights into science, research and industry.

There will be live demonstrations of all product innovations as well as other devices at Jenoptik's exhibition stand in hall 3, stand 3501.
