Julius Baer Gruppe : Merger of WMPartners Wealth Management Ltd. and Wergen & Partner Vermögensverwaltungs AG

WMPartners Wealth Management Ltd., a member of Julius Baer Group Ltd., and Wergen & Partner Vermögensverwaltungs AG are to consolidate their activities and further strengthen the former's position as one of Switzerland's leading independent wealth managers. The merger will see a marked expansion in the business activities of both established companies in their core markets of Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The transaction is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2017.

Zurich, 2 February 2017 - WMPartners Wealth Management Ltd., a member of Julius Baer Group Ltd. headquartered in Zurich, was founded in 1954 and has 42 employees. Wergen & Partner Vermögensverwaltungs AG, which was established in 2010, manages assets totalling more than CHF 600 million.

In a first step, Julius Baer Group Ltd. has acquired all shares in Wergen & Partner Vermögens-verwaltungs AG and will later integrate the company within WMPartners Wealth Management Ltd. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the conditions of the transaction.

Following the conclusion of the transaction, Manfred Wergen, founder and CEO of Wergen & Partner Vermögensverwaltungs AG, will sit as a member of the Executive Board of the combined company under the leadership of CEO Daniel A. Aegerter. All partners of both companies will remain operational after the merger.
