Where can you find the best home renovators in Finland? Or at least those who think they are the best.

78% of Finns say they can do small renovations around the house, for example changing skirting boards, painting walls and hanging wallpaper. 13% of Finns trust they can carry out bigger renovation jobs, from redoing the floors to installing kitchens.

According to a recent national survey* by K-Rauta, Finns are fairly confident in their home renovation skills, although there are significant differences between regions and age groups.

For example: people in North Karelia and Lapland consider themselves very skilled at renovation work, and people in Ostrobothnia are clearly more confident in their skills than people elsewhere in the country on average. People in South Ostrobothnia and Kanta-Häme feel they are good at large-scale renovations, while people in Central Ostrobothnia are the best at disposing renovation waste.

Home renovators often have a lot of questions, which is why K-Rauta has opened a Remonttineuvonta service that answers all types of renovation-related questions. When it comes to renovation, there are no stupid questions!

* The national Pitäiskö rempata survey was carried out by Cint on commission by K-Rauta in August 2017, with 2,002 Finnish respondents. The sample is representative in terms of the age, gender and area of residence of the respondents.
