Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that professional soccer player Keisuke Honda has accepted the role of KONAMI soccer game ambassador.
As part of his activities as ambassador, Honda will engage in a range of initiatives covering all KONAMI soccer games, such as providing special messages for fans, and giving hints and tips to use in-game. Honda will also appear in television commercials for the "World Soccer Collection" smartphone game series from Friday, April 18.
In addition, a "KONAMI Ambassador Campaign (provisional title)" will be held on the official Winning Eleven Facebook page*, in which fans from around the country can offer their words of support to the Japan national soccer team, and a few lucky winners among these will be chosen by prize draw and rewarded with a selection of special gifts. This is just one of the ways in which we hope to spread support for the Japan national team throughout Japan as soccer excitement continues to rise.
KONAMI hopes that Honda's efforts as ambassador will prove the starting point for even more people to experience the unique fun of soccer through the various KONAMI soccer titles, and looks forward to standing alongside all fans as the sport continues to grow and develop.
