Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. is proud to announce that 'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU 2016,' the latest title in the Nippon Professional Baseball-approved JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU (below, PAWAPURO) series of baseball games, has been released today, Thursday, April 28 2016, for PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, and PlayStation®Vita.

Since first being released for consoles in 1994, the PAWAPURO series has been enjoyed by countless fans over a range of platforms, and its total sales of over 20 million copies makes it Japan's No. 1 baseball game series*1. The series is also enjoying expanding popularity outside of console games, with the 'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU' mobile game achieving over 22 million downloads in the short time since its release in December 2014.

In addition, PAWAPURO series fan Shun Oguri also appears in new television commercials promoting the release of 'JIKKYOU PAWAFURU PUROYAKYU 2016,' currently airing in major cities nationwide.

KONAMI will continue to develop and distribute the PAWAPURO series, to bring the fun and excitement of baseball games to an ever-expanding customer base.
