Current Group Executive Vice President Wenche Helgesen Andersen has been appointed new Managing Director of Kongsberg Maritime's (KM) operations in China. Hans Petter Blokkum is appointed new Group Executive Vice President HR and Security.

Kongsberg Maritime has close to 500 employees in China, and the country is one of the Group's most important focus areas for maritime activities.

- I am very satisfied that Wenche is to lead Kongsberg Maritime in China. Our presence in China is of outmost importance and Wenche's expertise and broad management experience will be very valuable in a period where we are to continue strengthening our operations in China, says Geir Håøy, President and CEO of KONGSBERG.

Kongsberg Maritime has been established in China since 2003, and have had operations and deliveries since the 1980's. Today the business area has close to 500 employees in China with main operations in Shanghai, Zhenjiang, Guangzhou and Dalian.

We are already well positioned in the country and there are significant market opportunities going forward. Helgesen Andersen assumes the position from March 1st, 2018. Her current areas of responsibility besides HR and security will be transferred to other members of the corporate management team.

Hans Petter Blokkum new Group Executive Vice President

Hans Petter Blokkum is appointed new Group Executive Vice President responsible for HR and security. Blokkum comes from the position of Chief HR Officer. He holds more than 30 years of experience within the HR area and broad international experience. Prior to joining KONGSBERG in 2010 he held the position of HR director of Dresser Rand, responsible for Europe, Middle-East and Africa.

- I look forward to Hans Petter joining the corporate management team, taking on the important responsibility of security and developing our more than 6 800 employees. HR, HSE and security are central to the Group's management philosophy, and I am confident that Hans Petter with his broad experience will strengthen these areas further, says Håøy.
