RESTON, Va., May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: LDOS) today announced the appointment of Jonathan Scholl as Health and Engineering Sector President, effective June 22, 2015.

In his new role, Scholl will lead nearly 7,000 employees working in the areas of healthcare IT, electronic health records, advanced data analytics, health and life sciences, and clinical research. He will also oversee operations related to energy grid and critical infrastructure, design, engineering and transportation security products. Scholl will work out of the company's headquarters in Reston, Va.

Scholl most recently served for five years as the Chief Strategy Officer for Texas Health Resources, one of the largest nonprofit health care delivery systems in the country. During his tenure, he was responsible for the system's strategic planning and business development functions, information technology, and joint venture operations. Prior to that, he spent 15 years with The Boston Consulting group and served as Head of their North American Healthcare Provider Practice and leader of their Lean Six Sigma initiative for hospitals. He also served as vice president for applications development for the TenFold HealthCare Group in Dallas.
