Lite On Semiconductor : LSC’s Golden Egg Diodes Inc rang the Nasdaq opening bell for the third time

(May 27th, 2015 Taipei News) Mr. Raymond Soong , chairman of Diodes Inc (Nasdaq : DIOD) and Lite-On Semiconductor(TWSE :5305), led Diodes' CEO Dr. Keh-Shew Lu, Vice chairman, Mr. C.H. Chen and the management team to ring the opening bell of Nasdaq in Times Square for the third time as of May 26th, 2015. Lite-On Semiconductor holds about 17% of Diodes' shares, and Diodes Inc is the Golden Egg of LSC in return.

Diodes Inc., a Standard and Poor's Smallcap 600 and Russell 3000 index company, is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of Discrete, logic and analog semiconductor components. Diodes' corporate headquarters is located in Texas. Design, marketing, and engineering centers are located in Plano, San Jose, Taipei, Manchester, England and Germany. Its wafer fabrication facilities are located in Kansas City, Missouri and Manchester, with two additional facilities located in Shanghai and it also has packaging and testing facilities in Shanghai, Chengdu, Taipei and Germany； one of the early adopter and beneficiary of design in USA and manufacture in Asia. Diodes Inc serves about 250 OEM and EMS, and also other 50,000 customers through distributors. New products is a key element to their growth strategy and more than 20% of the revenue comes from their new products and this has helped them to maintain their competitiveness in the market, their average gross profit hit 31% for year 2014.

Since his appointment as CEO of Diodes Inc. in 2005, Dr. Keh-Shew Lu made it a tradition for the company to participate in the opening bell ceremony every 5 years. Over the past 10 years, Diodes' revenue has grown from USD186 million in 2004 to almost USD900 million in 2014, representing an approximately 17 % CAGR growth. In addition, 2014 also marked their 24th consecutive year of profitability.

Lite-On Semiconductor invested in Diodes Inc. since 1990, their CEO Mr . C.H. Chen also acted as Diodes' CEO from year 2000 to 2005. He reinforced the technology research and development ability of the team , Diodes also peed up their new products time to the market. Under his supervision, Diodes became one of the most profitable and most competitive small cap enterprise in the USA.
