Lloyds Banking Group is one of the leading British banking groups. The group's activity is organized around 3 areas:
- retail banking in the United Kingdom: sales of standard banking products and services to individuals, through a network of more than 2,900 agencies. The group is also involved in real estate lending with Cheltenham & Gloucester (British No. 3);
- business banking and international banking: sales of banking products and services to small, medium, and large British businesses and financial institutions. Lloyds Banking Group is also present in America, Europe (private banking activities), and Asia. The group is also involved in offshore banking on the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man;
- insurance, investment and finance banking: life insurance (Scottish Widows) and non-life insurance (Britain's No. 1 homeowner's insurance distributor), investment capital, project financing, etc.
At the end of 2012, the group managed EUR521.7 billion in current deposits and EUR632 billion in current credits.
