Mersen successfully refinances its credit facilities in China Paris, September 12, 2013 - Mersen (Euronext FR0000039620 - MRN), a global expert in materials and equipment for extreme environments and for the safety and reliability of electrical equipment, is announcing that it has finalized the refinancing in China of the committed credit facilities due to expire between September 2014 and February 2015 by arranging local committed bank credit lines with a total value of RMB525 million or around €65 million.

These credit lines were arranged with leading international banks. They consist of:

a committed 5-year syndicated loan of RMB200 million repayable at maturity.

RMB325 million in 3-year bilateral facilities including options to extend maturity up to 5 years. Mersen now has more than €400 million in committed credit facilities at its disposal and has drawn down

around 50% of this amount. The average maturity of utilized credit facilities currently stands at close to 5 years.
This deal is part of the medium-term strategy to expand Mersen's activities in China, a country harboring strong growth potential in the Group's markets.
