On October 23rd, the large bar cogging mill with the largest roller diameter of 1350 millimeters, which was independently developed by CISDI Group Co., Ltd, was successful in the high-temperature test in a technological transformation project for the large bar production line. The size of the cogging mill is the largest among the similar kind of bar cogging mills that are produced in China.
In this technological transformation project, CISDI Group is responsible for process design of the whole rolling line and equipment design and complete equipment supply of outlets of automatic heating furnaces and cooling bed collecting facilities and fully localize manufacturing of the main equipment for the large bar production line, with the overall equipment reaching the world-leading technological levels and dimensional precision of the pilot products exceeding the relevant national precision standard. The success of the cogging mill in the high-temperature test means that China has succeeded in development and integration of the core and supporting equipment for the 350-millimeter large bar production line and that the foreign technological monopoly in this field has been broken.
In addition, the technique for preventing from steel dumping during automatic rolling of the cogging mill is also adopted, as has filled the gap in terms of automatic steel rolling technology in China. Meanwhile, the new short stress path rolling mill technique which is independently developed by CISDI Group is applied and effectively ensures a high dimensional precision level of the finished products.
Following the technological transformation, the production line can manufacture high-quality carbon constructional quality steel, tube billet, structural alloy steel, pinion steel, spring steel and ball bearing steel. The diameter and sizes for the steel rod, rolled billet and square billet are 80-350 millimeters, 150*150 millimeter and 180*180 millimeter, respectively.
