Metallurgical of China : Zhang Mengxing Meets Taiwan E United Group Indonesia Company Chairman Li Bixian

　　On June 13th, MCC President Zhang Mengxing met Taiwan E United Group Indonesia Company Chairman Li Bixian at the MCC Headquarters in Beijing. In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, both parties held talks, jointly reviewed their cooperation course and profound friendship formed over numerous years, and deeply exchanged opinions on accelerating the progress of the E United Group's Indonesia Ferronickel Project and further enhancing future multidimensional cooperation.

　　Zhang Mengxing welcomed the delegation led by Chairman Li Bixian and conveyed cordial greetings to Mr. Lin Yishou, the founder of the E United Group, on behalf of Chairman Guo Wenqing. He then pointed out that MCC is the trailblazer and founder of the steel industry of New China, and the world's largest metallurgical engineering construction contractor and metallurgical enterprise operation service provider. It assumes more than 90% of the design and construction tasks of China's large-scale steel enterprises, and over 60% of the global metallurgical market, and can provide all-round metallurgical industry chain services including reconnaissance, design, construction, maintenance and teamwork. At present, MCC applies itself to being the 'national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term'. MCC proposed the strategic target of creating the world's largest, strongest and best 'national team' of metallurgical construction and operation services, and made top-level scheme design, helping the Group to rise to the international first-class level in the core technology of the 8 parts and 19 business units of steel metallurgy. MCC has succeeded in completing the construction of the world's only two steel enterprises in excess of ten million tons, namely the Formosa Plastics Vietnamese Ha Tinh Steel Project and the Baosteel Zhanjiang Steel Project, thereby completely upgrading the level of the world's steel metallurgy. With its core technology in the exploitation and smelting of laterite-nickel ore, etc., MCC has completed many projects around the world including Indonesia and accumulated plentiful experience. MCC invested in and built the world's third largest laterite-nickel ore project, the Ramu Ni-Co Project in Papua New Guinea, which has now has gone into operation and reached full production, with a highest output month reaching 110% of its designed capacity.

　　Zhang Mengxing said that the E United Group is the largest private steel enterprise in Taiwan. It enjoys high popularity and influence in both Taiwan and the mainland, and has maintained a favorable partnership with MCC for many years. MCC has accumulated long-term market exploitation experience in Indonesia, finished numerous and various projects, and become familiar with the local conditions and customs. MCC is certain to give full play to its own strengths and adopt the most advanced technology to complete the E United Group's Indonesian Ferronickel Project with the largest economical investment, fastest speed and highest quality.

　　Li Bixian expressed gratitude for the great support that MCC offers the E United Group, and conveyed the cordial greetings of E United founder Lin Yishou to Chairman Guo Wenqing and President Zhang Mengxing. MCC has completed a number of ferronickel projects in Indonesia and accumulated abundant experience.
