Metallurgical of China : Zhang Mengxing Visits Gansu Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee Director Lin Duo

　　On December 1st, MCC Group & MCC Party Committee Deputy Secretary and MCC President Zhang Mengxing attended a signing ceremony for the Gansu Provincial Expressway, General Aviation Airport and Tourism Project cooperation agreement. Before the ceremony, other central enterprise leaders attending other activities were also cordially received by Gansu Provincial Party Committee Secretary and Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee Director Lin Duo, with whom they held talks. The ceremony was attended by Gansu Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Provincial Governor Tang Renjian, Provincial Standing Committee Member and Vice-Provincial Governor Song Liang, Provincial Standing Committee Member and Provincial Party Committee General Secretary Wang Jiayi, and Provincial Government General Secretary Chang Zhengguo. Gansu Provincial Highway Aviation Tourism Investment Group Co., Ltd. President Shi Peirong and MCC Group Assistant General Manager (President) and Domestic Market Development Department Director Zeng Jianzhong signed the agreement on behalf of HATG and MCC Group respectively. The signing of this agreement marks that the Gansu Provincial Highway Aviation Tourism Investment Group, MCC Group, CCCC, CRCC and CREC are jointly devoted to the road infrastructure construction of Gansu Province, and will consider the golden construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt to be their own responsibility as central enterprises.

　　Zhang Mengxing first thanked the Gansu Provincial Party Committee and Government for the comprehensive support and assistance they have given the MCC Group. He then pointed out that MCC pays close attention to business development in Gansu. This is the third time he has visited Gansu this year. Each time, he feels the rapid changes in the province. In particular, the new round of leadership headed by Secretary Lin Duo focuses on style construction, coheres popular support, firmly adheres to reform actions, develops the economy, improves people's livelihoods and continuously creates new reform development situations with real practice and a solid work style. They are also driving the rich development of Gansu's businesses and injecting new vitality into the rise of the province with a strong sense of urgency and mission. Since the start of cooperation between MCC and the Gansu Provincial Highway Aviation Tourism Investment Group in May of this year, both sides have continuously consolidated and deepened their sound strategic cooperation relationship, and made practical cooperation achievements in transportation, urban infrastructure and other fields within Gansu Province. During their cooperation, the Gansu Provincial Highway Aviation Tourism Investment Group has presented a pragmatic, efficient, rigorous and responsible work style, positively performed its enterprise duties, and dared to take responsibility and shoulder heavy burdens. We are deeply impressed by its dedicated spirit of benefiting the people of Gansu with unremitting efforts. The Gansu Provincial Highway Aviation Tourism Investment Group has achieved over RMB 57 billion in operation revenue in just a few years, and it ranks 266th among the top 500 Chinese enterprises. Its development speed deserves admiration.

　　Lin Duo introduced Gansu Province's history, culture, industrial development, economy, agriculture and other aspects in detail. He then pointed out that Gansu has a prime location on the Silk Road for radiating throughout Central Asia, giving it decisive strategic regional influence and important strategic meaning. Meanwhile, affected by the natural environment, Gansu's economic development, production and operation are restricted to some extent. Its poverty alleviation work is tough and urgent. At present, over 30 counties have not yet built expressways. Its infrastructure construction space remains huge. Lin Duo said that Gansu welcomes such large-scale central enterprises with tremendous strength as the MCC Group to invest and construct in Gansu, and boost the rapid development of its economy and society.
