Modern Times : ‘Cold Courage’ is next MTG Studios original series

International crime drama 'Cold Courage' is the next original series from MTG Studios. Based on the bestselling books by Pekka Hiltunen, the eight episode series will premiere exclusively on MTG's Nordic video streaming service Viaplay in 2019.

Two young Finnish women in London are drawn inexorably together via the Studio - a clandestine group dedicated to bringing justice to those beyond the law. But, as their battle against exploitation, violence and corporate greed intensifies, will the Studio's ends continue to justify its means?

'Cold Courage' is scripted by BAFTA nominated screenwriter David Joss Buckley ('Hinterland') and directed by Agneta Fagerström-Olsson ('Seppan'; 'Knockout'). The series is produced by Markku Flink at Luminoir (Finland), with A Private View (Belgium), Vico Films (Ireland) and Sagafilm (Iceland) as co-producers.

'Cold Courage' will be distributed internationally by Global Road Entertainment, which is also distributing MTG's first feature film 'Superswede'.

Recently commissioned originals include season two of 'The Great Escape'; 'Those Who Kil l'; 'Four Hands Menu'; 'Rig 45'; 'Hid den'; 'Wis ting'; 'Pro's and Con's'; 'Straight F orward'; and 'Conspiracy of Silence'.

MTG's originals are increasingly reaching global audiences. During 2017, 'Veni Vidi Vici' premiered on premium US streaming service Hulu; 'Swedish Dicks' premiered on Pop TV in the US; and 'Black Lake' was picked up by BBC Four and AMC Networks-backed Shudder.
