IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division completed work on the creation of an outdoor training centre for operating and maintenance and repair personnel. The area of the centre is 700 square meters with installed high-voltage 35 - 110 kV equipment, used in substations of the branch (a 110 kV power transformer, disconnect switches, an isolating switch, a short-circuiting switch) at which operating and maintenance personnel work out the procedure for routine switching and repair and maintenance skills.

The new site has become part of a set of training centres of Kurskenergo. The base of the site is the centre in Oktyabrsky district of the Kursk region, where competitions of electricians of distribution networks are held and practical training for learners at the training point of operational staff of the branch. At the indoor centre, which was built in the spring of this year in Kursk, power engineers have theoretical and practical trainings on safe operation of distribution networks of 0.4 - 35 kV. There also are mini-centres in Distribution Zones.

"The opening of the new centre is an important step in the improvement of professional skills of experts of the company, who the reliability of electric grids depends on and, accordingly, the quality of power supply to consumers," stressed First Deputy Director - Chief Engineer of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division Vyacheslav Istomin.
