In 2016 IDGC of Centre - Smolenskenergo division will invest about 1.264 billion rubles to the electric grid complex of the region. Of these, the branch plans to invest 794.2 million rubles in technical re-equipment and reconstruction of the electric grid complex, in construction of new energy facilities - 470 million rubles. To maintain a reliable state of existing power grids, grid connection of new customers it is planned to construct and reconstruct 0.4-10 kV power lines in the amount of 665.4 million rubles.

Modernization and reconstruction of high-voltage substations will allow improving reliability in some districts of the city and the region. The total amount of funds allocated for the implementation of these activities is 166.6 million rubles, including the reconstruction of the 110/35/10 kV Substation 'Vyazma-1' - 89.4 million rubles. The branch will invest part of the funds in technical re-equipment and reconstruction of transformer substations and distribution points.

The investment program for 2016 includes measures to modernize automation equipment and installation of digital communication channels in Distribution Zones worth 106.2 million rubles, which will allow creating a single information space in the territory of the branch.

Significant funds will be spent on the development of an automated electricity metering system (30.4 million rubles). This will increase the speed of receiving electricity consumption data.

It is planned to put into operation 361 km of power lines of different voltage levels, and the planned transformer capacity for the current year is 138 MVA.

The investment program in 2015 was carried out by the branch in its entirety. During the implementation of the program obsolete equipment was replaced, and modern materials were implemented.
