MRSK Tsentra : Kostroma region authorities thank IDGC of Centre for active work in the field of electrical safety

In the name of Evgeny Smirnov, Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Kostromaenergo division director, a letter of thanks was received from Deputy Governor of the Kostroma region Olga Eremina. The representative of the region's leadership thanked the power engineers for their active participation in the activities aimed at creating a safe environment for children and preventing children's electric injuries.

Prevention of electric injuries by the power engineers is carried out systematically, within the framework of the program, which includes a set of organizational and awareness-raising activities. Much attention is paid to working with children and adolescents. One of its most effective components are lessons on electrical safety, during which experts of Kostromaenergo introduce children to the rules of behaviour near power facilities and the handling of electrical appliances, they teach to provide first aid to those affected by the electric current.

In January-May, they conducted more than 300 such classes in schools of the region, their participants were more than 4 thousand children and adolescents. This work continues in the summer. The power engineers together with the EMERCOM of Russia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kostroma region, State-owned Federal State Institution 'Rescue Service, Civil Defense and Emergencies', other organizations responsible for safety of life, organized seven route safety games in school and country camps of the Kostroma region. Among them - the game 'Safe Summer', which was held in the Central Park of Kostroma and gathered more than 250 participants, as well as a route game in the specialized health camp 'Electronic'. Until the end of summer, similar events will take place in five country children's camps.
