Specialists of IDGC of Centre - Kurskenergo division participated in the held in the Kursk region today show of forces and means involved for liquidation of emergency situations. The show was held in the framework of a training and methodical gathering on summarizing the activities of the management of civil defense, territorial subsystem of the regional system of emergency elimination of the Kursk region in 2016 and setting tasks for the current year.

Kurskenergo was represented by a crew for repair and maintenance of substations. The power engineers showed modern equipment that allows to quickly restore electricity supply to consumers, associated with damage to power grid facilities. In particular - a specialized workshop, mounted on the chassis of an off-road vehicle.

This unit is equipped with a gasoline generator, benches, a drilling machine and a grinder, a necessary set of tools and accessories to perform firs responding and restoration and planned work allowing to quickly repair a faulty unit without leaving for the base. The equipment available in the workshop can be powered from both AC 0.4 kV and from an independent generator. In addition, the car has equipment that allows to diagnose and adjust 10-35-110 kV switches. There is a household compartment for staff there.

Summing up the review, Chief of General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Kursk region, Ivan Lunev noted the high level of organization of the work of Kurskenergo to improve the stability of power supply facilities. He stressed that the established operational interaction of Kurskenergo with the regional office is one of the important factors for ensuring the energy security of inhabitants of the region.

In case of emergency situations Kurskenergo formed 10 mobile crews with a total of 74 people. They are equipped with 21 motor vehicles, including 10 off-road, 9 aerials and two drilling and crane machines. If necessary, the branch staff can use 87 backup power sources with total capacity of 1,129 kW. The backup power sources are always available and can be used in any territory.
