MRSK Tsentra : More than 80 students of specialized educational institutions have practice at Tverenergo

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Tverenergo division pay great attention to the practical training of qualified personnel for the subsequent work at the enterprise. Currently, 81 students of power engineering specialties from the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University and Tver State Technical University, as well as from specialized secondary vocational schools - the Konakovo Energy College, Tver and Torzhok Polytechnic Colleges, Bezhetsk Industrial and Economic College, Nelidovo and Udomlya Colleges.

Under the supervision of experienced specialists, future power engineers get acquainted with the activities of the largest electric grid company in the Tver region. Depending on the chosen specialty, trainees study the technology of production, the mechanization of production processes, the basis for safety of working conditions, etc.

In the first half of 2017, 19 university students and 62 students of colleges took part in the production practice at the branch's facilities. This was made possible by the agreements signed between Tverenergo and educational institutions: the Tver State Technical University, the Tver State Agricultural Academy, the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University, the Konakovo Energy College, the Nelidovo and Udomlya Colleges, the Bezhetsk Industrial and Economic College, and the Tver Polytechnic College and the Torzhok College of Rosreserve. To ensure timely provision of the needs by qualified specialists, as well as to create conditions for the most complete development of labour potential, a working group on the formation of a youth reserve pool has been created in the branch.

'The main goal of the production practice is the acquisition of professional skills by graduates of educational institutions, the expansion and systematization of their theoretical knowledge, as well as adaptation in the workplace,' says Ekaterina Terekhina, the head of the HR office. 'We create for the trainees all the necessary conditions, and after graduation we find decent recruits. So, this year we recruited 12 graduates of the year of 2017 from the Tver State University and the Tver State Agricultural University. One more entrant was sent by the target training contract to the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University, five to the Konakovo Energy College where under the same contracts 23 students are already trained, and one student is studying at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. After graduation they will all come to work at Tverenergo.'
