MRSK Tsentra : Voronezh power engineers restored the normal operation of electrical grids

Power engineers of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division, in their service area, have completely restored the power supply, which was disturbed by the recent cyclone. As of 06:00 p.m. on 19 April, the special mode of operation, introduced in the branch due to bad weather, was cancelled. All 110, 35 and 10 kV power lines are operating in their normal mode.

Please, be reminded that on 18 and 19 April, because of the cyclone passing through the territory of the Voronezh region, there were local technological failures in the operation of power lines recorded, caused by the fall of trees and branches onto wires, as well as the accumulation of snow, the formation of ice and, as a consequence, their crossing and breakage.

IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division introduced a special operating mode, a meeting of the crisis management centre was held under the leadership of Vyacheslav Antonov, Acting Deputy General Director of IDGC of Centre - Voronezhenergo division director. Voronezhenergo's repair crews were promptly eliminating technological violations from the very beginning of the storm, paying special attention to the primary restoration of energy supply for socially important facilities: kindergartens, schools, medical institutions. The restoration of electricity supply involved 19 crews of Voronezhenergo (over 50 people and 26 specialized vehicles).

'Now electricity is supplied to consumers according to the regular scheme. In some areas of the region there are still damaged sections of 0.4 kV lines, including those located in the service area of consumers. Damage to them is associated with the breakage of wires under the weight of snow or because of fallen trees and branches.
