National Australia Bank today announced that it has made its disaster relief package available for customers impacted by the storms in New South Wales.

"Our thoughts are with those affected by the storms and we understand people will need our support as they start to assess the damage. In the meantime, we urge people to stay safe with bad weather still to come," said Irene Rowlands, State Retail General Manager, NSW.

"We are here to help our employees, customers and communities and encourage people who need assistance or advice to contact us."

NAB's disaster relief measures available for storm affected customers in NSW include:

  • Suspending home and personal loan repayments
  • Waiving costs and charges for withdrawing term deposits early
  • Waiving home loan and personal loan fees and charges
  • Credit card and personal loan relief where appropriate
  • Support to restructure other existing bank facilities
  • Provision of support and counselling through NAB's Employee Assistance Program
