The Government has published its long awaited National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) prospectus and is calling on industry to get involved to help make the centre a success.

The document sets out the Government's proposed vision and goals, along with information on the work that the NCSC will do to transform cyber security in the UK.

The online version of the prospectus was officially launched at the Cyber UK In Practice conference in Liverpool on 25 May. Ollie Whitehouse, technical director at NCC Group, joined a number of government representatives on stage at the event to discuss key issues regarding the initiative.

During the panel discussion Whitehouse welcomed the launch of the centre and said that industry support is critical in order for the NCSC to succeed. He also said that getting guidance about cyber security out there is timely, pertinent and actionable.

He added: 'We welcome the Government's commitment to working with industry and are ready to play our role to support its ambitions.'
