NCC GROUP PLC Richard Warren, managing security consultant at NCC Group, has been ranked at number 42 in the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) bounty programme top 100 list.
The list was revealed at Black Hat USA 2016 and recognises the top contributors to Microsoft's vulnerability reporter programme.
Warren, who wasn't aware he was featuring on the list, said that he was surprised to end up in the top 100.
He added: 'It's a great feeling to have made the top 100 list this year and to get the recognition from Microsoft. There are some really cool and skilled people in the list and it's an honour to be named alongside them.
'I hunt bugs for fun, but it's also a great feeling knowing that I've helped to make millions of users a little bit safer and more secure.'
