LUKOIL'S TOP MANAGERS PRESENT THE OTKRYTIE-ARENA STADIUM TO THE RF PRESIDENT

Vladimir Putin, Russia's President, Vitaliy Mutko, Minister of Sport, Sergey Sobyanin, Mayor of Moscow, Vagit Alekperov, LUKOIL's President, and Leonid Fedun, LUKOIL's Vice President for Strategic Development, today visited the Otkrytie-Arena sports complex in Tushino.

The Otkrytie-Arena has become Russia's first stadium built with private funds: Mr. Alekperov and Mr. Fedun both personally invested in the project.

The Spartak Moscow football club will hold its first game at its home arena on September 5, while in 2018 the stadium will host World Cup football games.

The Otkrytie-Arena can accommodate 42,000 spectators. The sports complex is planned to be expanded in the years to come with the construction of a football training center, a multi-purpose arena and a park for outdoor activities.
