MOSCOW, March 12 (Reuters) - Russian wholesale gasoline Ai-92 grade prices rose by around 1.2% on Tuesday to 47,962 roubles per metric ton, data from the St Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) showed, after a drone attack on Lukoil's NORSI oil refinery.

Wholesale prices of Russia's summer diesel were up 1.3% on the day to 61,299 roubles per ton, while the price of gasoline Ai-95 climbed 0.51% to 58,032 roubles per ton.

Russian officials reported Ukrainian attacks on a slew of energy facilities on Tuesday, including one that caused a fire at NORSI.

Gleb Nikitin, governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, posted a picture of a fire truck beside the refinery and said emergency services were working to put out a blaze there.

"A fuel and energy complex facility was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles," Nikitin said on messaging platform Telegram.

Industry sources told Reuters the main crude distillation unit (AVT-6) at Russia's NORSI refinery was damaged, which means that at least half of the refinery's production is halted. Lukoil declined to comment.

The NORSI refinery can process about 17 million metric tons of oil per year, or 340,000 barrels per day. It typically produces 11% of Russia's gasoline.

Domestic gasoline prices are sensitive ahead of a March 15-17 presidential election. Russia imposed a six-month ban on gasoline exports on March 1.
