Neometals : Appointment of Chief Development Officer to drive titanium

Neometals Ltd (ASX: NMT) ("Neometals" or "the Company") is pleased to advise that it has significantly strengthened its executive team with the appointment of experienced mining executive Mr Darren Townsend as Chief Development Officer.

The appointment into the newly‐created role comes as the Company pushes ahead with plans to develop the Barrambie Titanium Project in WA.

Mr Townsend is a mining engineer with more than 15 years' mining experience in senior management roles and 10‐plus years' corporate experience running both ASX and TSX listed companies.

At Neometals he will be responsible for driving the Barrambie Project through its pilot‐scale beneficiation testwork, announced last week, and through to a Definitive Feasibility Study. He will also oversee the various engineering studies currently underway for Neometals' lithium business.

Mr Townsend was most recently the Managing Director of Peak Resources Limited, an ASX‐listed mining company focussed on the development of the Ngualla Rare Earths Project in Tanzania.

During his almost four‐year tenure Mr Townsend oversaw the completion of both a Pre‐Feasibility Study and Bankable Feasibility Study for the project. Mr Townsend has also previously built/operated Tantalum operations at Wodgina in Western Australia and in Mozambique.
