NEW JERSEY RESOURCES : ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE PROMOTION

WALL, N.J. - New Jersey Resources (NYSE: NJR) has named Laura Conover of Ocean Township chief communications officer and chief of staff, effective October 1, 2017.

In this role, Ms. Conover will be responsible for leading NJR's communications strategy; creating and sustaining key initiatives, as well as ensuring internal and external communications advance the company's business priorities. She will also provide strategic and tactical support and serve as a principal advisor to the chairman and CEO.

Ms. Conover joined NJR as chief of staff in 2016, after serving in senior leadership positions in the field of corporate communications for over 25 years. Previously, she served as senior vice president and director of corporate communications for TD Bank's U.S. operations. Prior to that she was the vice president of internal communications and employee services for the Madison Square Garden Company.

A graduate of Muhlenberg College, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Communications and a Master of Arts degree in Corporate and Public Communication from Monmouth University.
