Special TimesTalks to Take Place Feb. 12 at The New School in New York

NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2015 -TimesTalks , The New York Times' s live, online and video conversations between Times journalists and today' s leading talents and thinkers, will host a live conversation with Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Laura Poitras, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Glenn Greenwald, and government-surveillance whistleblower Edward Snowden to discuss Ms. Poitras' s Academy Award-nominated " Citizenfour."

" Citizenfour," nominated this year for Best Documentary, follows the story of how Ms. Poitras, Mr. Greenwald and Mr. Snowden met and came together to bring Mr. Snowden' s findings on the National Security Agency' s worldwide electronic surveillance program to light. 

This TimesTalks will take place Thursday, Feb. 12, at The New School from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. E.T., and will be moderated by New York Times media columnist David Carr. 

Ms. Poitras and Mr. Greenwald will join Mr. Carr on stage, and Mr. Snowden will participate in the TimesTalks via live video.
