OKLAHOMA CITY -Oklahoma Gas & Electric recently presentedJesus House a check for $9,846 in rebateincentive funds for its installation of energy-efficient LED lighting throughout its facility. Jesus House received the funds from its participation in the OG&E Small Business Efficiency Program, a no-cost program that provides technical and financial support to help small businesses identify and implement energy efficiency upgrades.

In addition to the rebate incentive funds, the lighting upgrades will save Jesus House 65,641 kilowatt-hours of energy and approximately $6,500 annually on its energy bill. Power conservation programs like this also result in positive environmental effects through reduced air emissions.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, that is equivalent to the carbon dioxide emissions of 5,192 gallons of gasoline.

'The OG&E Small Business Efficiency Program has provided us with the resources to make much-needed energy-efficiency upgrades. With the savings gained from this project, we are able to direct more funds into our Life Transformation Program,' said Michael Bateman, Executive Director at Jesus House.

'When organizations take advantage of our Small Business Program, the net financial impact is multiplied when you take into account the rebates along with their future energy cost savings,' said Kathleen O'Shea, OG&E spokesperson. 'Jesus House accomplishes a lot for our community, and the savings on their electric bills represents that much more available funds for important initiatives that help those in need.'
