Leamington Spa, 21 July 2014 - Tower Hamlets Council is implementing the latest computer software to improve the management and coordination of street works.  The Internet hosted Mayrise Street Works system from Yotta will enable the East London borough to respond to changes in street work legislation, such as the newly introduced EToN 6.  The advanced software will also help the Council implement new working practices including mobile working and achieve efficiency gains through more effective inspection regimes and streamlined reporting.

Mayrise Street Works was selected following a careful evaluation of a number of potential solutions. The hosted system was chosen as it was deemed to be the most user friendly with excellent customer support.

"Following our assessment of a number of solutions we selected Mayrise Street Works as it had the most user friendly interface. With one homepage it's easy and intuitive to navigate to exactly where you need to be, unlike our previous system," commented Ashraf Ali, Network Operations Manager at Tower Hamlets Council. "The customer support from Yotta is also first class with dedicated personnel just a phone call away rather than impersonal automated systems offered by other suppliers."

Mayrise Street Works software is a complete solution for managing street work notices for both street and highways authorities and statutory undertakers. Handling the Street Works Register, National Street Gazetteer, inspections management and defect reporting, the system eliminates paperwork, ensures best practice and provides up to date information on the status of all works. Mayrise Street Works also offers full compliance with the revised EToN 6 specification which aims to further reduce the impact of roadworks, through the better co-ordination and sharing of information between local authorities and utility firms.

"Mayrise Street Works will also allow us to streamline our KPI reporting saving valuable staff time while still meeting our statutory requirements," continued Ashraf. "We also hope to achieve additional efficiency gains through the use of the latest mobile working technology, supported by the Mayrise software, to further improve the effectiveness of our inspection regimes."

Mayrise Street Works is available online and is powered by the fastest managed hosting service from one of the UK's leading hosting and colocation providers who supply dedicated server hosting, critical application hosting and cloud hosting solutions. Mayrise Online also includes expert technicians who monitor the system around the clock ensuring data security and system performance.
