This year's rankings were compiled from results in 87 competitions around the world involving more than 2,200 winning campaigns.

BBDO agencies created ten of the top 100 most effective campaigns of the year. And two BBDO agencies - AMV BBDO in the UK (#2) and Colenso BBDO in New Zealand (#3) - were among the top three most creative agencies in this year's Warc rankings.

The Warc 100 is a ranking of the world's top marketing campaigns and companies, based on their performance in effectiveness and strategy competitions.

Warc tracked more than 2,200 winning campaigns from 87 different competitions to compile the rankings. Each winner was assigned points based on the awards they won (Grand Prix/Gold/Silver/Bronze, or equivalents). The points were then weighted based on the rigor and prestige of the competition. Each competition has a weighting between 1 and 5.Warc assigned the weightings based on a number of factors, including a survey of senior planners from around the world. The methodology was developed in consultation with Professor Douglas West, Professor of Marketing at King's College London.
