Jack Anderson, co-founder and CEO of 31-year-old branding and design firm Hornall Anderson, is stepping into the role of chairman and has promoted president of operations, John Anicker, to president and CEO.

Anderson started the Seattle-based design firm Hornall Anderson in 1982, with then partner John Hornall. Since its inception, Hornall Anderson has grown from a small shop servicing local clientele to a global firm that is part of Diversified Agency Services, a division of Omnicom Group Inc. (NYSE:OMC).

With offices in Seattle and London, Hornall Anderson provides a brand-first design approach in areas including marketing, packaged goods, digital, built and virtual environments. Clients include Fortune 500 companies such as Starbucks, PepsiCo, McKesson and Nordstrom, and iconic places such as Madison Square Garden, Chicago's Willis Tower, and Empire State Building.

As Chairman, Anderson will relinquish day-to-day operations and duties, and focus his attention on overall long-term planning and strategy, as well as provide ongoing counsel and direction to select clients.

In his new role as president and CEO, Anicker takes on the responsibility of leading the firm in its day-to-day operations.

Anicker has been with Hornall Anderson for over 20 years, beginning as a designer with the firm in 1992. He has steadily progressed up the ranks, helping the firm establish an interactive offering and team in 1996, becoming a partner in 1999, assuming overall responsibility of the operations function in 2005, and more recently, being named president of operations and development in 2010. Along the way, he's been a key contributor to clients such as Holland America, Intel, Airborne Express, Food Services of America, Kodak, AT&T Wireless, 3M, and Microsoft, to name a few.
