FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Zimmerman, Omnicom's retail growth machine, today announced the promotion of David Nathanson to Chief Creative Officer, effective immediately. Previously, Nathanson was executive creative director, serving in that role for nearly eight years.

In his new role, Nathanson reports directly to recently returned CEO Michael Goldberg and will be responsible for all integrated, creative content - brand, retail, traditional, digital and social.

Goldberg had this to say. "It is an honor to recognize David in this important position, but the reality is that David accepted the responsibility the minute he first walked into the building 8 years ago. What makes him so special to me is that we share aspiration. That is, to make the work as brilliant as it can be without ever losing sight of the client's business we commit ourselves to growing. We celebrate great work that works great or we keep working until it is - and does."

David, a long time partner of Goldberg, is an integral part of the team that helped the agency gain the scale and client experience, including Party City, hhgregg, Boston Market, Firehouse Subs, Lucky Jeans, as well as more recent wins such as Michaels, Chico's, White House/Black Market and Soma Intimates.

"David has been a perfect complement to our leadership team that has helped evolve a very unique agency DNA for the future," said Jordan Zimmerman, Founder and Chairman of Zimmerman.

Prior to joining Zimmerman, David held senior creative positions for multiple global agencies, including DDB Worldwide (NY) and Chiat/Day (NY & LA). David has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University in Northridge, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising Design from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
