Parker Introduces Lead-Free Water Valves for Harsh Applications

New Britain, CT, June 9, 2016 - The Fluid Control Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, announced the release of its Lead-Free Water Valves. These valves contain less than 0.25% lead, meeting the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) - Section 1417(d) requirements for brass.

Parker Lead-Free Water Valves are ideally suited for water, hot water and steam applications such as industrial processing, irrigation, sterilization, steam tables, commercial dishwashing or any other non-potable uses. They offer a maximum operating pressure differential of 275 psi (18.96 bar) and flow factors (Cv) up to 12.2.

'Our new Lead-Free Water Valves have been designed and manufactured following extensive research and testing, according to direct feedback from end users,' said Craig Chapman, Divisional Marketing Manager. 'These valves offer a 'Pivoted Edge Design', originally engineered by Parker Fluid Control Division to enhance valve performance, and can be applied across a range of applications to meet the exact needs of our customers.'

Electrical Coils are available in NPT Conduit or DIN Form A configurations, in both AC and DC voltages. Class H, hazardous location coils options are available for higher temperature steam applications, up to 353°F (178°C).
