PPC Ltd, a pioneer in the southern African cement industry, recognises the importance of platforms such as the South African Forum of Civil Engineering Contractors (SAFCEC) Conference in encouraging industry discussions and addressing critical issues. Now in its 75th year, the Civil Engineering Council Conference will be taking place on the 11- 12 November 2014 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The conference has made tremendous strides in setting the agenda to current issues and providing a forum for the industry. "It is important for PPC to support conferences of this nature as it drives relevant topical issues. We see our involvement with the conference as more than sponsorship but a collaboration to advance our sector," says PPC Managing Director, Cement, RSA, Johan Claassen.

PPC believe in leading innovation, ensuring that the latest trends are top of mind in the industry. The organization has developed the Cement & Concrete Cube (C3), a dynamic information sharing and collaboration platform, to foster the development of the sector.

The concrete cube also facilitates and encourages knowledge sharing within the sector. The C3 platform was designed in aid of continuously driving dialogues, sharing academic and industry content, latest international research in the field of cement and receiving expert advice.

PPC calls on this year's conference delegates to carry on the momentum of sharing knowledge that can make an impact to the industry growth by registering with the C3 platform. Contributing to bigger industry agenda is what PPC strives to achieve.

Webster Mfebe, Chief Executive Officer of SAFCEC says, "We are grateful for PPC's participation, adding value to the conference."
