Bank Mandiri's Transformation On Track Following EGM

Jakarta , May 21, 2014 - The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders ( EGMS ) of Bank Mandiri appointed Mahmuddin Yasin as President Commissioner, replacing Edwin Gerungan . Currently, the company's board of management include Mahmuddin Yasin (President Commissioner) , Pradjoto (Independent Commissioner) , Krisna Wijaya (Independent Commissioner), Abdul Aziz (Commissioner) , Askolani (Commissioner) , Aviliani (Independent Commissioner) and Anton Gunawan Herman (Independent Commissioner ). The newly appointed members in addition to the president commissioner are Aviliani, Askolani and Anton Gunawan Herman.

" Bank Mandiri has a strong system of organization management and therefore these changes will not impact the Bank's transformation plan or the company's performance, and therefore, the bank can continue transforming toward becoming a leading Southeast Asian bank in 2020, " said President Director of Bank Mandiri, Budi Gunadi Sadikin, following the EGM at Plaza Mandiri, Jakarta on Wednesday, 05/21.

The commitment to sustainable growth was achieved by improving the intermediation function , which until the end of March 2014, the bank recorded loan growth of 20.1% to IDR 470.4 trillion from IDR 391.6 billion in the same period a year earlier, with net NPL ratio of 0.67% .

The loans channeled into productive sectors grew 22.8% to IDR356.8 trillion, with investment loans growing at 15.7%, and working capital loans growing at 27.5%. The electricity, gas and water sectors recorded an accelerated growth of 34.1% , while the trade, restaurants and hotels sectors at 22.6% .

Furthermore, in terms of segmentation, the increase in lending occurred across the businesses , whereby the micro segment has the highest growth, reaching 36.4 % to IDR 28.2 trillion in March 2014. Amount of micro credit customers also increased to more than 358 thousand customers from 327 thousand customers in the same period last year. If combined with the small and medium enterprise segment, then the total loans disbursed to micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs ) grew by 16.1% to IDR 64.6 trillion.
