Rathbone Brothers : Rathbones hires nucleus team for Private Office initiative

Rathbones is pleased to announce that it has advanced the development of the Rathbone Private Office by hiring Ian Dembinski, Peter Arkell and Alex Dean.

Ian comes to Rathbones from Credit Suisse's Private Banking division, where since 2010 he has been Managing Director and Head of the UK Domestic Private Bank for high net worth clients. Prior to that he spent 24 years at UBS, in both the investment and private banking divisions. Ian will report directly to Philip Howell.

In addition to Ian's arrival, we are also joined this summer by two Client Directors within the Private Office.

Peter Arkell has 29 years' experience, having worked at Barclays, Credit Suisse, Kleinwort Benson and most recently Deutsche Bank. He will be joining us later this summer. Alex Dean started at Rathbones in May and has 18 years of experience, most recently from RBC Wealth Management where he spent the last four years.

Ian, Alex and Peter will be working closely with Natalie Merrens, who joined us last October from Kleinwort Benson as Head of Investment Solutions for the Private Office.

These three new hires represent a significant step forward for the Private Office, which continues to be one of our strategic growth initiatives. We have also recently agreed an External Asset Manager partnership with Credit Suisse. This arrangement will enable the Private Office to offer a wealth advisory service that has access to a full range of specialist private banking products, services and lending solutions to complement Rathbones' own discretionary fund management, tax, trust, financial planning and banking services.
