LOUISVILLE, Ky. (February 10, 2016) - Republic Bank has inked a three-year deal to serve as the official bank of the Louisville Bats, the city's beloved Triple-A baseball club.
"The Louisville Bats make family fun easy and Republic Bank makes banking easy, so we believe this is a perfect partnership," said Steve Trager, chairman and chief executive officer, Republic Bank.
Republic Bank will manage the club's banking and merchant account operations, as well as provide ATM services at Louisville Slugger Field. Republic Bank will have a number of signage and advertising opportunities throughout the ballpark.
Also, as part of the partnership, Republic Bank customers will receive a special discount price for tickets to the Bats' Wednesday home games at Louisville Slugger Field. Bats fans who show a Republic Bank debit card, credit card or checkbook at the box office, or who use a special promotional code online, will be able to purchase up to four Field Reserved tickets for a discounted price of $7 (regular price $10) for any Wednesday home game, with the exception of July 3-4, or playoff games.
Republic Bank also will sponsor the Bats' Junior Groundskeeper Program, which brings young baseball fans onto the field with Buddy Bat and the team's official grounds crew between innings each game. Children ages 6 to 12 can be registered for a chance to be drawn as a junior groundskeeper at any Republic banking center beginning Monday, March 7.
