The Hague, the Netherlands, 1 June 2018 - BAM International's project team at Moín Container terminal in Costa Rica has completed the final pour of the 650 metres long and 35 metres wide concrete wharf deck last week. This marks the completion of a significant part of BAM's scope of the container terminal for APM Terminals.

In the coming months BAM International will deliver the remaining works, such as paving, bollards, ladders, anodes and touching up of concrete edges.

In October 2013, a consortium consisting of Van Oord and BAM International, was awarded the contract for the design and construction of Phase 2A of the new container terminal. Last February, BAM handed over the first part of the wharf deck to APM Terminals.

APM Terminals are developing a world-class modern and sustainable container terminal to help Costa Rica achieve its economic ambitions. Not only will it increase the country's international trade competitiveness, the terminal will reduce logistics costs through higher operating efficiency and enhance Costa Rica's container cargo security reputation.
