Schibsted is one of the leading Scandinavian media groups. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- newspaper publishing (75.4%): primarily publishing of the dailies Aftenposten, Bergens Tidende, Stavanger Aftenblad, Fædrelandsvennen, Svenska Dagbladet and 20 Minutes (free newspaper distributed in Sweden, Spain and in France). The group also develops a publishing of books, cartoon strips, and specialized magazines activity;
- distribution of small classified ads (23.8%);
- other (0.8%): primarily production and distribution of TV programs (Sandrew Metronome) and films (Metronome Film & Television).
Net sales break down geographically as follows: Norway (53.1%), Sweden (29.4%), the Baltic countries (3.9%), Europe (13%) and other (0.6%).
