TOKYO, 21 April 2016 - State Street Corporation (NYSE:STT) extends its deepest sympathy to those affected by the earthquakes that struck the Kumamoto prefecture in Japan last week. To support the relief efforts, State Street Corporation has pledged a donation of USD 100,000 to the affected areas. In addition, State Street Trust & Banking in Japan has commenced a donation program at our Fukuoka office to send emergency supplies to the affected regions. Over 2,500 bottles of water and 2,250 food items contributed by our office will be delivered by local authorities to ensure they reach the impacted communities most efficiently.

In the coming months, State Street employees in Japan will continue to collect donations internally through the company's community support programs to fund relief activities along with its matching scheme at the affected areas.
