Launched in 2005, 'INDH-Inmae', the Lydec project for access to essential services, gives tens of thousands of families the possibility to access water, electricity, and sanitation at home. Support for inhabitants by the Lydec teams was provided before, during, and up to appropriation of services. To date, nearly 45% of the initial project has been executed.

The National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) was launched by King Mohammed VI of Morocco in May 2005. One of its goals was to give everyone access to basic services and to fight against insecurity. Since then, Lydec has responded by implementing a dedicated structure called the INDH-Inmae ('development' in Arabic) project.

Its mission is to find technical and financial solutions to help connect homes to drinking water, wastewater and electricity to benefit households in informal districts.

Review of a large-scale project via video (french only)

'Inmae is a human adventure and an example of an unprecedented effort at Lydec to bring joy to people in disadvantaged neighbourhoods. It's a huge challenge. Our enthusiasm is unflagging, and our commitment and desire to continue on this path are strong' said Managing Director Jean-Pascal Darriet.
